This edition of European Journal of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology opens with some exciting news! We are delighted to announce the new partnership between touchCARDIO and the Arrhythmia Alliance, and we look forward to supporting ongoing work in arrhythmia awareness and education – for example at the recent World Heart Rhythm Week (3–9 June). The European Journal of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology will henceforth be the official journal of the Arrhythmia Alliance.

This partnership forms at an interesting time in the fields of arrhythmia and electrophysiology, as we strive to improve awareness, detection and diagnosis of arrhythmias and to inform optimised treatment selection and long-term management strategies.

I would like to extend my personal thanks, and, on behalf of the European Journal of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology staff, extend our gratitude to all the contributors to the journal over the past 4 years. We thank the reviewers and editors for their hard work in presenting the excellent and robust content to our readership. Finally, we thank the Editorial Board for their invaluable support and guidance in the development, focus and success of the European Journal of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology.

We hope you share our enthusiasm for the next part of our journey, as we seek to educate and inform in this vital and challenging field, and continue our drive towards improved patient outcomes.
