We spoke to Dr Jose Merino (Director, Arrhythmia and Robotic Electrophysiology Unit, Hospital General Universitario La Paz, Madrid, Spain) about the use of radiofrequency treatment for patients with atrial fibrillation, and the advantages of high-power short-duration point-by-point radiofrequency treatment. He also gives his recommendations of how physicians might incorporate these findings into the routine management of patients with atrial fibrillation.
