The touchCARDIO journal Heart International has once again seen an increase in its Journal Impact Factor (JIF), rising from 1.9 in 2024 to 2.3 in 2025.

The Journal Impact Factor (JIF) is a widely recognized metric that reflects the average number of citations received by articles published in a journal. It serves as a useful tool for librarians in curating journal collections, for publishers in tracking journal performance and for researchers in identifying impactful platforms for disseminating their work.

This latest increase builds on Heart International’s remarkable rise from a JIF of just 0.2 in 2023 to 1.9 in 2024, highlighting the journal’s growing influence within the global cardiology research community.

Commenting on the achievement, Dr Magdi El-Omar, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Heart International, said:

“I am absolutely delighted, and immensely proud, that Heart International’s impact factor has risen again this year from 1.9 to 2.3 in the latest 2025 rankings. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication, thoughtful insights and steadfast support of the editorial board, the journal team, our editors, reviewers and authors. Thank you all for being such an integral part of this journey, and I look forward to expanding on these achievements in the years to come!”

The team at Heart International remains committed to publishing timely, evidence-based content that supports the work of cardiology professionals worldwide.
