Web Address: STARS Website

STARS (Syncope Trust And Reflex anoxic Seizures) provides information, education, support, and awareness for those affected by unexplained loss of consciousness, fainting, blackouts, PoTS, RAS, and all forms of syncope. The charity’s mission is to ensure individuals with these conditions receive correct diagnosis, treatment, and informed support, with signposting to the correct medical professionals.

STARS collaborates with individuals, families, and medical experts to alleviate the effects of syncope and Reflex Anoxic Seizures, and advance public and professional education on the condition. The charity also promotes research into causes, management and treatment, supporting organisations dedicated to syncope research. Key campaigns such as Take Fainting to Heart and SaFE (Syncope and Falls in the Elderly) raise awareness and drive improvements in care, particularly for vulnerable groups.

STARS Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), comprising of international experts, ensures the correct diagnosis, treatment access, and reviews and approves all STARS’ literature and strategies.
